I remember when I was just a child, and my mother would bring me in here to pick out some books to keep me occupied while her and my father ran Schatzi's Bakery & Cafe. I wonder if anyone still has any old pictures of the bakery or John and Donna Diegel. Boy, those were the good old days. Now that I think about it, that was almost 30 years ago.....how time flies....Anyway, I always loved wandering the bookshelves and picking out some rousing adventure by the likes of Charles Dickens, Roald Dahl, Jules Verne and The Hardy Boys. Thanks for making my childhood imaginative and wonderful, Lisbon Public Library!
